Happy Valentine’s day in advance! I love all things red velvet and since Valentine’s day is tomorrow, I thought I would share a breakfast recipe of red velvet pancakes.
To make these, I used:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups milk
2 large eggs
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons red liquid food coloring
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, and good colour in another bowl.
Gradually addmilk mixture into flour mixture. Pour about 1/4 cup batter for each pancake onto a hot buttered pan. Cook 3 to 4 minutes with low heat until edges look dry and cooked. Turn and cook 3 to 4 minutes or until done.
Cut some strawberries to garnish.
Don’t forget to have this with a glass of milk!
